Bucky's Pond

When I first stepped onto this land, I noticed an openness and airiness that reminded me of Northern California, while still holding the grounding feeling I have come to love about the Hudson Valley.

To honor both places, we let each one shape the design. Natural materials, an easy flow between indoors and out, and a sense that the house has settled gently into its landscape all feel very California to me, while the home stays attuned in the seasons, textures, and light of the property around it. The result is a home that is both grounded and open, calm and light, one that feels like a deep exhale the moment you arrive.
